Memory Monday - Philippians 4:6-7

Do not worry about anything ; instead pray about everything. Ask God for what you need and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

I think I did that one right from memory. I might have gotten a word turned around. Oh should be "Tell God what you need...."

For the upcoming week I'd like to learn Ephesians6 6:13-20 The "Armor of God" verses. I really need to learn those by heart so I can use them each day.

  1. Just wanted to stop by and say welcome to our circle of friends on my blog! I just recently finished working on memorizing the passage on the armor of God. I try to pray every morning that God help me keep His armor securely on. And then I literally go through each piece of armor as I pray. I ask Him to help me keep the belt of truth buckled around my waist, the breastplate of righteousness in place, my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the helmet of salvation securely on my head, the Sword of the Spirit in my hand which is the Word of God, and the shield of faith firmly in place so I can extinguish ALL the flaming arrows of the evil one. I need to have God's armor firmly in place EVERY SINGLE DAY! I think I spent a couple of weeks working on memorizing that passage. It's such an awesome portion of Scripture to commit to memory!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

  2. My children and I used to pray the armor every day before school. Now I find my self using the Armor of God as a template in my daily prayers for my husband, children, and nephews who live with me. This is a good website I have found:
