Today I am thankful for my beautiful daughter-in-law, Kellie. She is a wonderful young woman and she is so in love with my son. My son loves her very much. They are such a cute couple and are good for each other. She is such a blessing.

I am thankful for my Bible. There are so many places on this planet where having a Bible is illegal.
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

It has arrived!
I bought this in lieu of another Roku. It was only $35. ($41 with shipping from the Google Play Store). Roku comparable to the one I have in the living room is $60.

Put it all together
I don't have a tv with a hdmi port upstairs but I do have a 27" monitor I'll be using to chromecast.
It's simple to connect. I had to use the extension cable because of the placement of the hdmi port. Then plug the micro usb to power adapter plugged into an electrical outlet since my monitor doesn't have a powered USB port
I downloaded the Chromecast app onto my tablet and smartphone. Here it is working on my Nexus 7
and on my monitor

At the moment Chromecast works with YouTube, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora, Google Play content and some content from Chrome web pages. I use it primarily for Netflix and it works great!

On Sunday a challenge was issued to the congregation. It's a 26 day challenge of thankfulness. It's supposed to be more than just listing things I'm thankful for. At the end of 26 days my attitude should be remarkably different. So I'm up to the challenge. So here it goes.
I am thankful that Jesus is our advocate.
